Radical Democracy

Radical Democracy was a collective exhibition commissioned by Teófilo Furtado that took place on the 5th of June 2011, 2 days before our last legislative elections. Motivated by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe’s ideology of Radical Democracy, articulated in their book Hegemony and Socialist Strategy: Towards a Radical Democratic Politics (1985), the exhibition displayed a collection of political oriented pieces that reinstate the concept of difference among freedom and equality by challenging neoliberal state of democracy and its vindication for consensus.

In collaboration with Teo, I designed the poster and organized the exhibition. Additionally, I created a piece for the exhibition – a manipulated footage of 15M's protest march – that inquired about the notion of multitude.
